Material & Care Guide

A guide to preserving the finish and beauty of your piece.

Amoha Adornments pieces are designed as fashion jewellery, using premium base metals with plated finishes and faux or simulated gemstones. Proper care helps preserve their appearance and shine.

1. Keep Jewellery Dry

Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, or entering a sauna. Prolonged exposure to water and moisture can affect plated finishes over time.

2. Avoid Chemicals

Keep pieces away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, cosmetics, household cleaners, chlorine, and other chemicals. Apply fragrances and beauty products before putting on your jewellery.

3. Clean Gently

After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, polishing compounds, rough fabrics, or ultrasonic cleaners unless specifically recommended for that piece.

4. Store Separately

Store each piece in a soft pouch or lined jewellery box, preferably separately from other jewellery. This helps reduce scratching, tangling, and unnecessary contact between pieces.

5. Handle with Care

Faux and simulated gemstones can still be scratched or damaged by impact. Avoid dropping, bending, pulling, or applying excessive pressure to delicate settings, chains, clasps, and pendants.

6. About Plated Finishes

Gold and rhodium plating is a surface finish. Natural wear can gradually change its appearance depending on frequency of use, skin chemistry, moisture, friction, and exposure to products or chemicals. This is normal for plated fashion jewellery.

7. When to Remove Your Jewellery

  • Before showering or swimming.
  • Before sleeping.
  • During workouts or heavy physical activity.
  • Before applying perfume, lotion, or cosmetics.
  • When handling household chemicals or cleaning products.
